Saudi Arabia Washington’s ‘stooge'

An Iranian lawmaker has described the [Persian] Gulf Cooperation Council as Washington’s “yes-man” and “stooge,” saying the [P]GCC’s recent anti-Iran statement is a “rehash of old words.”

“The PGCC’s recent statement is just a rehash of the old rhetoric which they always bring up to please themselves and their cronies,” Iranian lawmaker Hassan Kamran told Fars News Agency.

“They are America’s yes-man and stooge,” he added.

“Iran has never meddled, and will never interfere, in the regional countries’ internal affairs,” Kamran said.

He stressed that Iran has always defended and supported “the oppressed” across the world, a move which has “unmasked the real face of Zionists, Americans and hegemonic powers.”

The lawmaker further condemned Saudi Arabia’s invasion of Bahrain.

He said the occupation of regional countries for security reasons was a “medieval” tactic.

“Saudi Arabia is in cahoots with the Zionists, and the Zionist regime is a garrison, serving as the United States’ arm in the region,” he concluded.
