Close links between UK government and ‘British made’ tyrants in Muslim lands
The guest list for the British Royal Wedding was unveiled this week.
It includes personal guests of the couple, as well as political guests of the State, since the wedding is that of a future head of state.
Two of the guests are the ‘Crown Prince’ of Bahrain and ‘Prince’ Mohamed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and ‘Princess’ Fadwa bint Khalid bin Abdullah bin Abdulrahman.
The shooting down of unarmed civilian protestors in Bahrain, part of the regional risings against the Middle East and North African regimes, has been followed by harsh repressive measures on opposition activists.
The Saudi regime, fearful for its own survival, intervened on the side of the Bahraini ‘Royal’ Family, sending in 1000 troops in March 2011.
These regimes, made in Britain, supported by Britain and America, are staunch allies… for now. The regimes who once provided stability – like the Gaddafi regime in Libya, Ali Abdullah Saleh’s in Yemen, and the Mubarak regime in Egypt – were once welcomed by the West – and have now been jettisoned. The West is actively looking for more credible long-term replacements in the region, with a democratic facade, who they can control.
But for now, for purely pragmatic reasons, they have maintain the protocols and formalities of old and decided to continue their embrace of members of these illegitimate regimes – whether Saudi, Bahraini, Kuwaiti or others.
For those who welcome the close relationship with these criminal regimes, our suggestion is don’t look at the ‘made in Britain’ stamp…look at the expiry date! You may get a shock.
