Hosni Mubarak - 21st Century Pharoah?

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 06, 2011

Hosni Mubarak’s attitude can be summarised in his own words said to an Italian paper “If we allow full democratic elections, then the Islamic people will get power!”, hence the people of Egypt have witnessed thirty years of oppression, violence, imprisonment, suppression of dissent and dictatorial rule.
His job description, given to him by America, is to prevent Islam.
This has not been easy for him, as the people naturally inclined towards Islam. Cairo is the place of al-Azhar, where his oppression and kufr rule are exposed almost every time a book is opened.
As the West’s war against Islam became more and more clear to the Egyptian people, his cosy relationship with the Americans made his job more difficult, as he was forced to choose between pleasing the American people, or his own. When Obama came to power, he hoped that he would be his saviour, stating:
“Barack Obama has presented a fresh understanding of Islam not shown by predecessors”
“Under the past administration, there was a feeling that the Islamic world was a group of terrorists, Islam was hated and Muslims should be watched, and that the previous administration was scared of any Muslim,” Mubarak said.
“But Obama came and said we will not fight Muslims and Islam. He is a sympathetic man, and says the United States will not fight Islam because Islam is a heavenly religion,”
Is he just naive or a hypocrite, or no more than a grateful servant replying to his master’s kind words?
In a BBC interview Obama described Mubarak: “he’s been a stalwart ally to the US… he’s been a force for stability and good in the region”.
To fulfil his role, Mubarak was happy to convene conferences in Cairo in 1994 which called for Western values. Among the resolutions listed in the document were the legalisation of abortion, sexual promiscuity among teenagers and single people, gay and lesbian sexual practices, sexual relationships outside marriage and marriages between couples of the same sex, men and women alike, and the discouraging of marriage at a young age.
Hosni Mubarak accepted for Cairo to be the venue of the conference, regarding this to be a great honour and a major political coup for him and for Egypt, despite the fact that his acceptance is a major sin.
He worked tirelessly to prevent Islamic awareness. In February 1992 Egyptian Education minister Mahjoub announced a campaign to “enlighten the people of Islam and stamp out fundamentalism.” The government would policy was to control the people’s thoughts by distributing books and hiring specialised scholars. He was quoted saying: “no Mosque or corner of a Mosque will be left without direct control by the ministry of religious affairs whether through the Khutbah or religious meetings”.
The Economist quoted: “Islamic extremism”, said Mr Mubarak last week, is a “cancerous phenomenon” that needs to be wrenched out by the roots. “As long as I am President, religion and politics will not mingle,” Mubarak has often declared.
In a defence speech read to an Egyptian court by a member of hizb-ut-Tahrir, came the following:
“The greatest victory the Kuffar and their state ever achieved in Muslim lands after abolishing the Khilafah was to make the rulers of Muslims hate and fight against Islam more than the Kuffar themselves do. Their duty became to stop Islam from returning, to stop Muslims from uniting in one powerful state that can change the international affairs, and to oppress any Muslim who carries Islam politically and torture him in order to make sure that Islam will never come back”
“Our land, Egypt… became Dar-ul-Kufr, even though its people are still Muslims, after the Islamic law was changed to the laws of Kufr. Since the destruction of the Khilafah, Egypt became a kingdom and later a republic, which are forms of Kufr ruling systems because Islam recognizes only the Khilafah as a form of ruling.”
The world is a witness now, that the imprisonment and torture of Islamic people has not stopped and will continue, as long as America policy in the region is implemented.
“How can Islam, respected judges, be a suspect? Since when was calling for Islam a crime? And since when was working to apply it through the Islamic State a felony? It is really strange that all of this is happening amongst Muslims”
أَفَنَجْعَلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ كَالْمُجْرِمِينَ – مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ
Mubarak has another role in supporting American policy, which aims at protecting Israel.
“The leaders of Egypt were British puppets during the kingdom and American puppets during the republic. They plotted along with Britain, and later with America, against the Ummah and its interests. They helped to establish Israel and fought diligently against political Islam, even though Al-Azhar is located in Egypt. They harassed any individual or group which gathers around Islam in a political manner. Our presence in front of you is a living proof”
“When we learned that we do not live in an Islamic State but in Dar-ul-Kufr, as Islam is not applied and the Khilafah has been destroyed, when we learned that the leaders of Egypt do not apply and respect Islam but instead fight it as well as any Muslim who works politically to apply it, while spreading the ideas of Kufr and allowing non-Islamic political work, when we learned that they (along with other leaders) participated in establishing and strengthening Israel, and when we learned that Islam orders us to apply Islam which cannot be achieved without working through a political party, when we realized all of this, we answered Allah’s Call and became eager to carry Islam and work to reestablish the Khilafah and apply the laws of Allah and rid Muslims of the tyranny of Kufr and its ideologies.”
Mubarak inherited his throne, via Saddat, from Gamal Abdul-Nassar, America’s first agent in Egypt, who revolted against the British King Farouq.
In 1967 Israel launched a pre-emptive strike on three fronts and seized the Golan Heights, The West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Sinai, including the Gaza strip. In the space of six days it apparently defeated Egypt, Syria and Jordan, destroying the Egyptian airforce entirely whilst they were grounded.
On the 2nd of October 1973 the Egyptian National Security Council met “…the President (Saddat) explained that it might be necessary in the near future to break the ceasefire. He was asked what sort of battle he expected to result and said he thought it would be a limited battle. Some of those present tried to get him to define more precisely what he meant by a limited battle. Dr Mahmoud Fawzi, the Vice-President, produced the analogy of the Japanese samurai, who used to carry a long sword and a short sword. `I think we are going to use our short sword,’ he said.”
The aim of the war was to stimulate American intervention which could make possible “a peaceful and honourable solution to the Middle East problem.” The Egyptian -Israeli peace treaty resulted in March 1979.
In 1973 the Egyptian army penetrated deep within Israeli territory to the embarrassment of Sadat. When senior army officers refused the command to withdraw, Sadat called for around 100 of them to return to Cairo, where they were executed – the crime was to face Israel as soldiers at war.
Israel’s 1982 military campaign in Lebanon culminated in an embarassing withdrawal in 1985, when 4,000-5,000 Muslims repelled the Israeli army of 120,000 troops, 1,600 tanks, 1,600 armed personnel carriers and 600 guns. Prior to the war in Lebanon in 1982, American agent Yassir Arafat in a speech given at Ain Hilwa camp claimed that Israel had 20 nuclear bombs which it would not hesitate to use.
In 1981 on 6th October Air force commander Hosni Mubarak succeeded the assassinated Anwar Sadat. His first act was to re-affirm Sadat’s ‘peace’ treaty with the Zionist entity.
After 73 Israeli soldiers died in a helicopter crash, on their way to Lebanon, Hosni Mubarak expressed his sympathies, “to the Israeli people and the families of the victims”. Thus he showed again where his heart lies.
Under Mubarak On the 10th May 1979, the Sheikh of Al Azhar convened a meeting with other Sheikhs of Al Azhar to justify the treaty from the viewpoint of Islam. The outcome of their meeting was a declaration that said:
Peace with the enemy is valid as long as it is in favour of Muslims. As happened in the treaty of Al Hudaibiah, which the Prophet (p.b.u.h) made when he was leading a strong victorious army from a strong position. Also, the Prophet (p.b.u.h) asked the people of Ghatafan to abandon the Kafireen at the Battle of Al Ahzab and as a reward the Prophet (p.b.u.h) would give them 1/3 of the crops of Medinah. They said the treaty was within the limits of Islam, because it was coming from a strong position after the Jihad battle of October 1973, the same situation with that of the treaty of Al Hudabiya. The treaty would be fruitful to Muslims by bringing back the Islamic lands to their owners. It would save the rights of Palestinians and would not include any loss to the Arabic and Islam.
Under Mubarak Egypt signed an agreement with Israel in July 2005 to supply Israel between “1.7 to 3 billion cubic feet of natural gas annually for 15 years.”
1996 Israel and Egypt were considering building a pipeline to bring natural gas from Egypt to Israel. Among the companies developing the Egyptian gas fields is Amoco.
In 1989 Egypt supplied about 45% of Israel`s oil needs, in 2007 Egypt was still supplying around 26-30%. Israel imports 90% of the oil it consumes, the majority of which is imported by oil tankers. The oil tankers arriving at Eilat have to pass though the Gulf of Aqaba whose waters are controlled by Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
The U.S. Secretary of State declared that president Clinton and president Mubarak would chair the international conference on terrorism to be held on Wednesday 13 March 1994 in Sharm al-Sheikh. He said “I had worked through the night to help the president with the announcement to hold this conference on peace and on terrorism.” An authorised Egyptian source declared in commentary about this conference: “There will be at least thirty heads of state expected to take part in this unprecedented summit on terrorism, whose aim would be to rescue the peace process”
Cairo’s Israeli embassy and the many conferences are the place of many meetings of Arab rulers with the Israelis.
On December 25, just two days prior to the onset of the vicious aerial bombardment of Gaza, Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni met with Mubarak in Cairo. It is understood that Egypt gave the green light for the attack.
A few days before the Israeli blockade George Bush ended his Middle East tour in Egypt meeting Hosni Mubarak only a few hundred miles from Gaza in Sharm al-Sheikh. One of Bush’s orders to Mubarak was to do more to secure the border between Egypt and Gaza.
What was Hosni Mubarak’s response to the cries of help from the women and children of Gaza?
Instead of opening the border between Egypt and Gaza and sending humanitarian assistance, Mubarak sent troops to enforce the blockade against the Muslims and prevent anyone crossing to get supplies. When their plan failed and the Muslims of Gaza broke open the border, flooding into Egypt, troops met the people of Gaza with dogs and water canons. They beat defenceless Muslim women with batons for the only crime of seeking food for their families.
CAIRO, Dec 27: About 2,000 angry Egyptians demonstrated in Cairo against Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip, accusing President Hosni Mubarak of being an accomplice.
“Mubarak and (Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi) Livni have agreed on the genocide of the Palestinian people,” read one banner. “Mubarak is an accomplice in attacks against the Palestinian people,” read another. Livni met with Mubarak in Cairo on Thursday and said Israel would strike back at the Hamas rulers of Gaza after a sharp escalation of violence in the Palestinian territory dashed hopes of a new Egyptian-mediated truce. “Down, down Hosni Mubarak,” the crowd chanted, calling for the Israeli ambassador to Cairo to be expelled and the embassy closed down.
When Muslims in Egypt attempted to gather in Tahrir Square to show their solidarity and support for helping the Muslims of Gaza the Egyptian security forces chased them through the streets of central Cairo. Hundreds were arrested to prevent any further demonstrations taking place.
In 1994 Police Minister Moshe Shahal asked how he felt during the May 4 signing ceremony in Cairo of the “Gaza-Jericho first” implementation agreement said: “The event itself had historical significance, rather than an historic moment. This was the VICTORY OF ZIONISM. After years of lack of recognition, the Arab world RECOGNIZED us.” “The moment of the signing didn’t excite me as I was thrilled from the fact that, here, we — with stubbornness and insistence and at the very expensive price of wars — succeeded in changing the course of history. The Arab countries RECOGNIZED the same country whose name they would not even utter in the past.”
October 30, 2008 Israel’s State President Shimon Peres “I want to make clear that we have the highest respect for President Mubarak. He is a really stable leader for peace in the Middle East. He does not stop for a moment from acting for peace. And he continues to do so,”
In June 1996, the call for an extended Arab summit emerged as the surprise of the Damascus summit, because two days prior to the summit, president Mubarak had declared in the press conference which he held in Aqaba together with king Hussein and Yassir Arafat, at the wind up of the Aqaba summit: “The Arab reconciliation is still very remote, and the holding of an extended Arab summit seems at present inconceivable.” So what made Hosni Mubarak shift his position in the space of two days and call for the holding of an extended summit, after he had deemed the impossibility of holding such a summit?
In 1992 Egypt’s food import bill was estimated at $4bn a year. She is the world’s largest flour importer and the third largest wheat importer.
The US annual aid programme to Egypt was $815m. Since the 1979 Camp David agreement she has received $15bn in US grants and $1.2bn a year in military assistance. Where’s it all gone? Economists call it “flowback” – 79% of the work done is by US contractors and US companies supply much of the inputs. For example, 25% of all Egypt’s generating capacity has been built by US companies.
The last word is to the defence speech in the Egyptian court:
“After we studied these ideas and laws and the related methodology and political work, we were convinced of these ideas and laws and adopted them and the party because it is Islamic and does not belong to one person or one land. We carried Islam based on that and began to call to Islam politically through ideological and political struggle. In turn, we call on you, respected judges, to adopt the same because you are Muslims and because carrying Islam and working to re-establish the rule of Allah is your duty exactly as it is our duty and the duty of every Muslim who believes in La Ilaha Illah Allah, Muhammadun Rasulu Allah.
Respected Judges,
This is the true reason behind our apprehension and trial in your court. We consider this reason an honor, not an accusation of which we are ashamed.
“If it is a Shi’ah who loves the family of the Prophet (saw), then let everyone know that I am a Shi’ah.” This is a line of poetry by Imam Shafi after being accused of being a Shi’ah. We thank Allah who guided us to Islam and facilitated the Da’wah of Islam, we ask Him to help us remain steadfast in it until we meet Him. We pray to Him to enable you to carry it with us, we pray to Allah to bring victory and joy to Muslims and to enable us to establish the Islamic State and to apply His Law and to raise high the Islamic Flag. He is our Master and the best supporter.”
Pharoah thought himself to be a god, to be worshipped and glorified. Mubarak’s god is the American president, making him more like Haman, Pharoah’s sycophant minister.

Selamat membaca!

Wassalâmu‘alaikum wa rahmatullâhi wa barakâtuh.
